We have always loved the beach but our happy place is definitely in the islands. Since our first exposure to the Caribbean in St. Maarten and many trips since, we have be fortunate to visit many islands both from the convenience of a cruise ship and staying on island.
From watching planes land overhead from the beach on Maho Bay in St. Maarten to swimming in and out of the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke for a Painkiller - discovering beautiful new places, beaches and the people who live there has always been at the top of our list!
Silvergirl Sterling is proud to be carried in boutiques throughout the Gulf Coast, Florida, Hawaii and the Caribbean and are always looking forward to visiting our stores in person (just ask Lois, our Mermaid-in-Chief). It is always great to see the personality of every boutique!
We are also proud members of No Shoes Nation and longtime Kenny Chesney fans (country music). Kenny's music has a distinct beach and island influence and as a year round resident of St. John, he has played a huge role in rebuilding the US and British Virgin Islands after the hurricanes, where many of his music videos have been shot.
One day we may run into Kenny at one of those bars - till then we will continue returning to our favorites and discovering new ones. If you are a beach bar fan visit the Bar At The End of the World Facebook page to see lots of great pics of bars we've been to along with pics from other fans.
You'll even find Bonita the Silvergirl Pirate in our logo, decked out with flower and jewels (turquoise of course)! Silvergirl will continue to bring you the best sterling beach, sea life and island jewels that the world has to offer. We are adding more of our own designs - be sure to check out our mermaid collection and our new opal wave necklace!
If you can't be on a beach in person - check out the Soggy Dollar Bar webcam below, and their fantastic internet radio station. It will get you through your day and hopefully one day closer to having your toes in the sand!
"Oh I wish I was there tonight, on Jost Van Dyke..."
